Nobody knows exactly how it started. Anybody who did know, if there were any, probably died shortly after finding out. Now all we can do is guess. Maybe it was a science experiment gone horribly wrong, maybe it was the work of the devil, or maybe this is the world’s way of saying it just doesn’t want us anymore. Whatever the reason, the dead have returned, returned to kill those who were left alive.

When it started their numbers were small, you know just about anybody who ever died in the past couple centuries. But their numbers grew. They turn whoever they kill into one of them. A single bite or a scratch is even enough to infect the living. Only a few people left alive actually know how to handle this situation. And this is their story.
